Itron Links With Deutsche Telekom

Liberty Lake, Washington-based smart meter maker Itron said this morning that it has linked with telecom giant Deutsche Telekom, to offer up smart metering solutions in Europe. According to the two, Itron will embed Deutsche Telekom SIM cards in its GPRS meters in Europe, and the two will also work on creating joint business opportunities in the smart metering, smart grid, and smart home areas in Europe. Financial details of the link were not announced.
