Treehouse Launches New 6-12 Month Program For Tech Skills

Portland-based online coding school Treehouse said this week that it has launched a new, 6-12 month long program to help students get entry-level, developer jobs in the technology industry. The startup--which is backed by Kaplan Ventures and Social+Capital Partnership--said its new "Techdegree" program will cost $399 a month, and can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months to complete. Treehouse is led by Ryan Carson. The company said is targeting students who don't have the time, or money, for a typical 2 or 4 year degree.
