Bing Fund Invests in Buddy Platform, Pinion Tech
Microsoft's Bing Fund angel investment fund and incubator program said Thursday that it has invested in two startups, Buddy Platform and Pinion Tech. Buddy Platform, which is based in Kirkland, develops hosted tools for web application development; Pinion Tech, originally from Australia, is in Bellevue, and provides interactive advertising for online gaming developers. The two are the very first companies to join the Bing Fund program, which was announced last month. Buddy Platform was founded by Dave McLauchlan and Jeff MacDuff, both of who were most recently at Microsoft. Pinion was founded by Karl Flores and Daniel Ringland.
