Treehouse Offers Up $1M In Scholarship Program

Portland-based online education provider Treehouse announced today that it is offering up $1M in scholarships, via a program which will offer up accounts on the service to organizations that support to veterans, underrepresented populations in technology, and those with socio-economic barriers. The company said it will initially offer up business accounts to Operation Code, a nonprofit that teaches coding skills to veterans; Path Forward, a nonprofit which helps those who have taken time out of the workforce to help care for a loved one; and LaunchCode, a nonprofit which helps aspiring developers.
