Amazon Plans New Fulfillment Center In Southern California

Seattle-based Amazon.com said today that it is opening up what will be its seventh, California fulfillment center in San Bernardino, California. According to Amazon.com, it expects to create more than 1,000 full time positions at that new facility. Amazon said the new facility will be its third in San Bernardino, which is in Southern California. Amazon said the new, 1.1 million square foot center will pick, pack, and ship smaller customer items, such as books, electronics and toys. Amazon says it now has more than 12,000 full time, hourly associates spread across its existing California fulfillment centers.
