Microsoft Buys Metanautix For Data Analytics Technology

Microsoft said Friday that it has acquired data analytics statup Metanautix, to bolster its SQL Server and Cortana Analytics Suite. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Metanautix develops data analysis software used for business management, and counts such customers as Shutterfly. Microsoft said it will incorporate the technology from Metanautix into its data platform.
