Washington, Oregon VC Investments Total $440.8M In Q3
Venture capital investments in Washington and Oregon totaled $440.8M in Q3, according to the latest numbers from the PricewaterhouseCoopers/National Venture Capital Association's MoneyTree report, which was released last night. Washington had 35 deals totaling $327.22M, and Oregon had 11 deals for a total of $113.3M raised. Washington saw less raised in Q3 than the prior quarter, Q2, when $434.9M was raised in the same number of deals. Oregon's total were nearly triple its Q2 deal flow, when 13 companies raised $39.1M in funding.
Nationally, venture investing dollars were down 5 percent, to $16.3 billion invested across 1,070 deals nationwide. That was down 11 percent in terms of deals compared to Q2. However, the report said that the $47.2 billion invested in the first three quarters of 2015 was greater than the full year totals for 17 of the past 20 years.
