Washington, Oregon Get $341.0M In Venture Investments In Q1
Washington and Oregon had a total of $341.0M in venture investments in Q1 of 2015, as venture deals in the region slowed significantly in the quarter, compared with Q4, according to the PricewaterhouseCoopers/National Venture Capital Association MoneyTree Report, based on data from Thomson Reuters. The report tallied 19 deals in Washington State totaling $299.06M and 10 deals in Oregon totaling nearly $42M, both of which were down from Q4's pace, when $386.7M was invested in Washington in 28 deals, and Oregon had $51.58M in 12 deals. Nationally, there was a slight decline in venture deals, by 10 percent in terms of dollars and percent in number of deals, with a total of $13.42 billion invested nationwide.
