Itron Names New COO

Liberty Lake, Washington-based Itron said late Thursday that it has named Tom Deitrich as the company's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Dietrich has previously served at Freescale Semiconductor, Flextronics International, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, and General Electric Corporation. Itron is a developer of smart meters for the utility industry.
