Itron Names Vice Chairman

Liberty Lake-based smart meter maker Itron said Thursday that it has named Lynda Ziegler as the company's new Vice Chairman of its board. Itron said that Ziegler's position was created as part of the board's succession planning process. Ziegler has been on Itron's board since February of 2013, and previously had been an executive at Southern California Edison (SCE). Jon Eliassen, currently Chairman of Itron's board, is planning to resign from the chairman role in May of 2016. Itron develops networked, "smart" electric, water, and other utility meters.
