Lyft Opens Engineering Center In Seattle
On-demand, ridesharing services and app developer Lyft has opened up a new, engineering office in Seattle, the latest Bay Area company to tap into the region's rich resource of technical talent. According to Lyft, it will hire around 20 engineers in Seattle as part of an expansion into the area; the company currently has six engineers in a temporary space in the city. The new office is led by Todd Kelsay, who has previously served at Microsoft and Sun Microsystems, among others. The office is the first for Lyft outside of the Bay Area.
