Cray Gets Install In India
Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray announced this morning that it has installed a supercomputer in India, in Bangalore. Cray said it installed a Cray XC40 at the Supercomputing Education and Research Center (SERC) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore, which it says is the first, petaflop supercomputer installed in India. The new system has 1.4 petaflops of computing performance. Financial impact of the win was not announced.
