Microsoft Azure Sees Major Downtime

In a setback for customer confidence in Microsoft's Azure cloud, Microsoft had an eleven hour outage this week, which the company blamed on issues with performance issues with Azure Storage. The downtime had started 5pm on Tuesday, and impacted not only Azure, but also Visual Studio Online, Microsoft's websites, search and other Microsoft services.
