Fanzo Finds $550K For Sports Fan App

Seattle-based Fanzo, which develops a mobile app to help sports fan follow their favorite teams and leagues, said today that it has raised $550,000 in a seed funding round. The company said the new funds will go towards international expansion. Fanzo is led by Paul Ingalls, and was co-founded by Dana Dyksterhuis, and comes out of the Microsoft/TechStars Azure Accelerator. Fanzo's app helps sports fans find news, photos, and conversations about their favorite leagues and teams; the company says its apps cover the NFL, NCAA, MLB, NHL, NBA, English Premier League and Champions League.
