Bonzi Acquired By Blue Star Sports

Tualatin, Oregon-based Bonzi, a developer of online software aimed at sports organizations, clubs, leagues, associations, and others, has been acquired by Blue Star Sports. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Blue Star Sports, which is backed by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Bain Capital Worldpay, and Providence Equity, just launched this week. According to Blue Star Sports, Bonzi founders Amy Pate and Anthony Pate will continue as CEO and CTO for Bonzi, and also serves as COO and CTO for Blue Star Sports. Blue Star Sports says it is developing youth sports payment and software, and it appears fro the acquisition that it will be using Bonzi's technology as the core of its new offering.
