X2IMPACT Finds Funding For Sports Safety
Seattle-based X2IMPACT, a developer of devices used to measure the force of head impacts in contact sports, has scored a round of venture capital funding. Amount of funding was not disclosed. The funding came from Kodiak Financial Group. X2IMPACT develops an instrumented mouth guard, which monitors real time head impacts, to monitor--wirelessly--possible Sports Brain Injury (SBI). The mouth guard wirelssly sends impact information to display devices on the sideline, so that coaches, trainers, and parents can detect potential brain injuries of players. The device is aimed at both school and professional sports teams. More information »
