Porch Competitor Houzz Gets $165M

The home remodeling and design site market looks to be heating up today, as one of the competitors to local startup Porch said it has raised a big, $165M funding round. Silicon Valley's Houzz, which offers up an online guide to home remodeling and design, and similarly to Porch helps connect homeowners with contractors, said it raised the big funding round from Sequoia Partners, Oren Zeev, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), GGV Capital and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), and DST Global and T.
