Cray Wins $26M Contract
Seattle-based supercomputer firm Cray reports this morning that it has won a $26M Department of Defense contract, part of a high performance computing contract for the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL). According to Cray, the contract covers a next generation Cray XC supercomputer and Cray Sonexion storage system for the DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) at the Army lab. Cray said it expects to install the new system in late 2014.
