Socrata Gets Win With EU

Seattle-based Socrata, the cloud software developer focused on governments, has scored a win in the European Union, saying that the European Com mission (EC) will work with the company to develop and deploy a platform focused on EU funding data. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Socrata said its platform will be used to explain how EU investments are making a difference for Europeans. Socrata is backed by OpenView Venture Partners, Morgenthaler Ventures and Frazier Technology Partners, and is led by Kevin Merritt.
