Cray In $54M Weather Computer Deal In Korea
Seattle-based Cray has scored a $54M supercomputer contract in Korea, to bolster that country's weather prediction ability. Cray said the $54M contract goes to provide the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) with two, Cray XC supercomputers and a Cray Sonexion storage system. The KMA provides weather forecasting and climate research.
