Microsoft's Newly Renamed Cloud Storage Service, OneDrive, Goes Live
Think a giant legal department, a trove of trademarks and patents, and a huge brand virtually guarantees you will win your trademark battle? Guess again. Microsoft officially launched its newly renamed cloud storage service, OneDrive today, taking all of the company's existing SkyDrive customers and migrating them to the newly named service. As part of the rebranded service, Microsoft also said it would be giving away 100 GB of free storage for one year to 100,000 people. The rebranding and relaunch comes after a trademark spat between Microsoft and BSkyB last year, which was resolve in BSkyB's favor. Microsoft has been in the midst of the migration to OneDrive since last year.
