Elemental Gets Olympics Win

Portland, Oregon-based video encoding and transcoding hardware and software maker Elemental Technologies reported a win in Russia this week, with Russian broadcaster Channel One. Elemental said that Channel One will use its systems to process nine channels of Olympics programming from Sochi, for the 2014 Winter Games. Financial impact of the deal was not announced. Elemental's hardware will be used to stream content to set-top box, PC, iPhone, Android, tablet and smart TV devices.
