Donuts Adds gTLDs, Registrars

Bellevue-based domain name registration startup Donuts Inc. is ramping up its efforts to support the new, generic top level domain (gTLD) marketplace, saying this week that it has added seven new top-level domains to the service--plus signed up thirteen registrars to support them in their gTLD rollout. Donuts said it has added the gTLDs of .BIKE .CLOTHING .GURU .HOLDINGS .PLUMBING .SINGLES and .VENTURES to its list of TLDs it will let trademark rights holders pre-register for as part of a "Sunrise" process. It also added a long list of registrars--including GoDaddy, Web.com, Tucows, and others--who will have access to the company's gTLD registration services.
