Donuts Hits One Million gTLD Registrations

Bellevue-based Donuts Inc., the generic top level domain (gTLD) registrar led by Paul Stahura, said this morning that it has just registered its one millionth Internet address. The company said the registration comes less than ten months into the opening of the new domains. gTLDs are the new domain name extensions, which go well beyond the normal .com, .net, .org, and other global top level domains. Donuts said that there are now almost 2.7 million registrations for gTLDs globally.
