Donuts Debuts Trademark Protection Service For Domains
Bellevue-based top-level domain registrar Donuts has launched a new service, to help trademark holders stave off domain name squatters. According to Donuts, it has launched a new product called Domains Protected Marks List (DPML), which will let trademark holders to protect terms in all of the gTLDs it manages, without having to defensively register names on all those gTLDs. Pricing on the service was not announced, but Donuts said it will be a "fraction of the cost" of normal domain name registrations. The company said it will offer up the service in five and ten year increments.
