Cray Doubles R&D Team In Europe

Seattle-based Cray said this morning that it is in a "significant" expansion of its research and development team in Europe, with the hiring of a significant number of employees from Gnodal Limited. According to Cray, via an agreement with administrators of Gnodal, it has hired the "vast majority" of Gnodal's employees. The move doubles the company's employees in Europe. Gnodal was a provider of high performance networking products in Bristol, England. Cray said it has also purchased the key intellectual property developed by Gnodal's team. Gnodal was in administration, the English equivalent of bankruptcy.
