Remitly Debuts New Mobile App

Seattle-based Remitly--which is backed by Trilogy Partnership, Founders CoOp, Bezos Expeditions, and TomorrowVentures--said this week that it has launched an updated, mobile app. The company's service helps people in the United States send money to the Philippines, something which is widely used by the overseas Philippine community. The Philippines has a very significant number of overseas workers, and remittances from those worker is a major driver of the economy in the Philippines. Remitly said the main update of its mobile app lets users communicate and send free messages, on top of sending money.
