Remitly Lands $12.5M
Seattle-based money transfer and remittance startup Remitly said this morning that it has raised $12.5M in a Series B funding round. The funding was led by DFJ, and also included DN CApital, QED Investors, and Trilogy Equity Partners. As part of the funding, DFJ's Wiliam Bryant joins the company's board. Remitly said the new funds go towards expanding its team, scaling marketing, and broadening its services into new countries. The company currently offers mobile payment and remittance services to the Philippines and India. Remitly is led by Matt Oppenheimer.
