Pathjoy Brings Technology-Savvy, Housecleaning Service To Seattle
Too busy to clean your house? Wish you had an easy way to use your mobile phone or computer to schedule and find a housecleaner? If you're in Seattle, a new service, Pathjoy, has just set up shop in the area to help provide a technology-centric, mobile way to find and hire a maid service. The Silicon Valley startup said it offers up an easy way to book, schedule, and manage their cleaning appointments online, inspired by such popular technology services like Uber. The company said its $20/hour rate for cleaning will upset existing maid services. The firm's co-founder, Aaron Cheung, said the service helps to vet and interview maid service contractors--including running them through background checks and meeting with them in person--before allowing them to serve its customers. The firm has been providing its services in the Bay Area since last year.
