Elemental Passes 250 Customers
Portland-based video transcoding systems provider Elemental Technologies reported this morning that it has just passed 250 customers of its products. The firm said that its customers more than doubled in 2012, helping to drive a 200 percent year-over-year revenue increase at the company. Actual financial details were not released by the company. Elemental said the wins came with such customers as BBC, Columbia Communications, Media Prima, NHK and Red Bee. Elemental, which is led by Sam Blackman, provides equipment used for real-time encoding and transcoding of video to different formats, such as streaming on smart phones, tablets, and computers.
