Cray Unveils New Supercomputer
Cray, the Seattle supercomputer developer, said today that it has officially launched its next generation, high-end supercomputing systems, the Cray XC30 supercomputer. Cray said the new product was previously code-named "Cascade." The new computer uses Intel Xeon processors to provide up to more than 100 petaflops of high performance computing (HPC) throughput. Cray says it has more than $100M in contracts for the new system.
