TappIn Launches New Professional Edition

Seattle-based TappIn, the developer of storage sharing software, announced this morning that it has launched a new product, TappIn Professional Edition. The new software provides 10GB of cloud storage to users, mobile access, and integration with salesforce, and is aimed at professional and business users. The new offering from TappIn allows users to access their files, even when their permanent storage device is turned off or in sleep mode, by providing a 10GB, "transactional" cloud repository for their content. That content can be accessed for a specified amount of time--set by the user--before being removed from the cloud, and continues to be stored on a user's original storage device. TappIn is a subsidiary of GlobalScape, which acquired the firm in December of 2011. Pricing on the new offering was not announced.
