Cray Sets New CTO
Seattle-based supercomputer maker Cray said this morning that it has appointed William C. Blake as its Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Blake, who has been on Cray's board of directors since 2006, was most recently General Manager of Parallel Computing Platforms at Microsoft. He also had served as CEO of Interactive Supercomputing (prior to its acquisition by Microsoft), Netezza Corporation, Compaq COmputer, and Digital Equipment Corporation. Blake will resign from Cray's board of directors with the new position at Cray.
