Digital Fortress Buys Two Data Center Firms

Seattle-based Digital Fortress, a brand new company backed by Halyard Capital, Meritage Funds and Sweetwater Capital, said Friday that tit has acquired the data center businesses of digital.forest, Inc. and Fortress Colocation Services. The newly formed company said it is looking to consolidate the data center colocation market in the Pacific Northwest. Financial terms of the funding and acquisitions were not disclosed. As part of the establishment of the firm, the company said it has appointed Mark Hughes, former CFO of Inflow Communications and EVP of Operations at SunGard Availability Service as its Executive Chairman.
