Benaroya Buys Boise Data Center From HP
Seattle-based real estate firm and high tech investor The Benaroya Company said today that it has purchased a data center in Boise, Idaho, which was previously owned by Hewlett Packard. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Benaroya said ti purchased the 60,252 square foot Boise Data CEnter from HP, which had previously operated the center as one if its key national data centers. Benaroya said the new data center will help it add capacity in both Seattle and Boise, and also allows its to tap into clean, hydroelectric power from the Boise area.
