LegitScript: Rogue Internet Pharmacies Flocking To Specific Domain Registrars

Portland-based LegitScript.com, which provides a monitoring service for online pharmacies and healthcare products, reports that its research finds that a majority of bogus and rogue Internet pharmacies are flocking to the same, domain name registrars. The firm--which helps companies weed out illegal advertisements for prescription drugs online--said that it found that one in three rogue pharmacies are registered with Internet.bs, a ICANN domain name registration firm. LegitScript also said that over 71 percent of all rogue online pharmacies are registerd via just ten registrars. LegitScript's services are being used by a variety of companies to weed out advertisements and links to bogus pharmacy websites.
