LegitScript Adds Patient Assistance Help

Portland, Oregon-based LegitScript, which operates an Internet pharmacy verification service endorsed by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, said Monday that it has opened up a new service to help needy users find free or low-cost prescription drugs. The service helps Internet users determine if an Internet pharmacy is legitimate, to help patients avoid "rogue" or fake pharmacy sites. The firm said the new service helps connects users to legitimate Internet pharmacies which provide free or low-cost prescription drugs. LegitScript's site allows users to both verify if a pharmacy is genuine, as well as report rogue Internet pharmacy sites.
