Intermec Gets Deployment With Charity World Vision

Everett, Washington-based Intermec reports that it has scored a win with the charity World Vision, to deploy the firm's handheld, mobile computers for use in relief assistance. Intermec did not say how big of a in the deal was, or how many units World Vision is using, but did say its mobile computers will be used in aid distribution efforts around the globe. Intermec's systems are being used to track and scan ID cards.
