Cequint Sues Apple Over Caller ID Patents
Seattle-based Cequint, which develops mobile phone caller screening and other products, has sued Apple Computer over its use of caller identification technology. In a patent lawsuit filed in the Delaware District Court, Cequint claimed that Apple infringed upon two o fits patents for caller identification technology. The lawsuit, Cequint Inc. v. Apple Inc., was filed on Monday. Cequint is now part of TNS, Inc. The firm had been acquired by TNS in September of last year in a deal worth $112.5M.
