Cequint Names Weller President

Cequint Inc., a developer of caller identification technology for wireless phones, reported today that it has hired Scott Weller as its president. Cequint said Weller joins the company after more than five years at Research in Motion. Prior to that, he worked for Sony/Qualcomm and was a founding member of Wireless Knowledge. Weller began his career at Centel Cellular, Cequint added. Founded in 2005, Cequint is a privately funded company headquartered in Seattle. In June, the company announced it had received another round of venture capital financing courtesy of Benaroya Capital and iSherpa Capital.
