Mentor Graphics Enhances Thermal Characterization Tool

Wilsonville, Oregon-based electronic design automation (EDA) software firm Mentor Graphics said this morning that it has launched a tied together its thermal characterization and simulation software with its hardware test products. According to the company, its new product combines its T3ster hardware test products and FloTHERM software, to provide better electronics thermal simulation and analysis. Mentor said the combination of its T3Ster hardware and its software makes simulations more accurate. Rather than using often inaccurate data sheet information, users can build a prototype and use actual measurements to properly define components and hone their heat dissipation and thermal management designs using its T3ster hardware test tool.
