GoAhead Software Acquired By Oracle

Bellevue-based GoAhead Software, the developer of middleware for the embedded systems market, has been acquired by Oracle, Oracle announced this morning. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. According to Oracle, it acquired GoAhead Software in order to provide a more comprehensive and integrated offering for network equipment providers. GoAhead's software is used for carrier-grade, high-availability middleware used on embedded telecom software. Oracle said it expects the acquisition to complete before the end of the year.
