Amazon Backs California Online Tax Rollback Effort

Seattle-based Amazon.com is backing up an effort to roll back online tax efforts in California, which would force online retailers to collect state sales taxes. That tax effort resulted in Amazon cutting off thousands of its affiliates earlier this month. According to the New York Times, Amazon is now helping to gather at least 505,000 signatures to get the initiative on the California ballot.
