Starbucks To Adds The Economist, ESPN Insider, Marvel Comics
Seattle-based Starbucks is expanding the number of content options in its Starbucks Digital Network effort, where it is providing free content to users of its in-store Wi-Fi services. Starbucks announced today that it is adding The Economist, ESPN Insider Rumor Central, Marvel Digital Comics and Mediabistro as the newest content providers for the effort. Starbucks said its customers will get free access to the news, sports, comics, and career information from those publications via its partnership with Yahoo. Starbucks said the new content will debut soon, but did not give a specific date it will add those publications. The firm booted up its Starbucks Digital Network in October, after opening up its Wi-Fi access to anyone visiting its stores.
