F5 Adds Cloud Storage Tiering
Seattle-based F5 Networks, a developer of Internet traffic management devices, said today that it has added intelligent automated storage tiering support via its products. According to F5, via a combination of its ARX Cloud Extender, ARX Virtual Edition, and F5 iControl products, it now supports automated storage tiering--the storage of files on the Internet--using cloud storage services. The firm said its products now are qualified with Amazon S3, Iron Mountain VFS, and NetApp StorageGRID cloud storage services.
