Amazon Launches Kindle On BlackBerry PlayBook
Seattle-based Amazon.com said Monday afternoon that it has launched a version of its Kindle application for BlackBerry's new PlayBook tablet computer. According to Amazon, the Kindle app on the Blackberry is available today, and allows users to read books they have purchase from the Kindle store. Like Amazon's other apps for the iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry, Android devices, and other platforms, the new BlackBerry PlayBook version of the software includes synchronization across devices. BlackBerry launched its PlayBook, which competes against Apple's iPad, today. RIM said it will ship the PlayBook sometime in early 2011.
