RadiSys Names Niel Ransom To Board

Hillsboro, Oregon-based RadiSys, a developer of embedded hardware platforms used in the telecom industry, said Thursday that it has added Niel Ransom to its board of directors. Ransom was the CTO of Alcatel, and also has served at BellSouth. Ransom is currently the principal of advisory firm Ransomshire Associates. According to RadiSys, the addition of Ransom will bring "significant breadth and depth of knowledge" to the firm's board. Ransom is also on the boards of DesignArt Networks, Cyan Optics, Polatis, Kbro, and MultiPhy. RadiSys develops products used in 3G/4G/LTE wireless voice, data and video, femtocell, VoIP, and other telecom and networking applications.
