Clearwire Sells Operations In Ireland

Kirkland-based Clearwire has soled its Irish operations to Dublin, Ireland-based Imagine Communications Group, Imagine said today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Imagine said it is acquiring "significant" telecom infrastructure from Clearwire, to help it roll out its high speed WiMax wireless network. As part of the acquisition, Clearwire gains a minority stake in Imagine, including a board seat on the firm.
