Microsoft Licenses ARM

Microsoft and semiconductor firm ARM said this morning that the two are in a new licensing agreement. The firms, which have had a deal since 1997 to work together on embedded software and devices, said the new license extends the firms' current relationship. No financial details of the license were disclosed. Microsoft's Windows Embedded and Windows Phone operating systems run on ARM's processor line.
