Gist Revs Outlook Plugin

Seattle-based Gist, which develops software which helps connect web information to email contacts, told its users today that it has released a new version of its plug in for Microsoft Outlook. The firm said the new software pulls information about people and companies before users send them emails. Gist said the feature will show profile information next to anyone you are sending a message to, before sending an email. The firm also said that it has added the ability to highlight news items, blog posts, or tweets in emails inside Outlook, and integration with Google Contacts. Gist is venture backed by Vulcan Capital and Foundry Group.
